With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Bernee Dunson is a highly respected dentist specializing in implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry.
As a past president of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and a recognized educator in advanced dental techniques, Dr. Dunson has dedicated his career to providing exceptional patient care while advancing the field of dentistry worldwide.

Education & Advanced Training
Dr. Dunson’s journey into dentistry began in Albany, Georgia, where he was raised in a family with a deep commitment to education. As a third-generation graduate of Morehouse College, he earned a degree in Biology in 1987 before pursuing his passion for dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991.
His education didn’t stop there—Dr. Dunson went on to complete a general dentistry residency at Columbia University’s Harlem Hospital in New York. To further specialize in implant dentistry, he attended the prestigious Oral Implantology Residency Program at Loma Linda University (LLU) in California, where he earned a graduate certificate in oral implantology in 1997.
Additionally, he holds an IV and Oral Conscious Sedation certificate from Miami Valley Medical College in Dayton, Ohio, making him one of the select few restorative dentists in Georgia who are certified and licensed to administer IV sedation.
