Education and Training
Bernee Dunson, D.D.S., was born in Albany, Georgia, and is a third generation graduate of Morehouse College. After completing his undergraduate studies with a degree in biology in 1987, he entered the dental program at the University of Southern California (USC), where he received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991. He then attended Columbia University’s general dentistry residency program at Harlem Hospital in New York. After completing the residency, Dr. Dunson returned to Georgia, and in 1992, he began practicing as an associate in Atlanta. At the same time, he served as a resident in the oral implantology residency program at Loma Linda University (LLU) in California, traveling to the West Coast one week out of each month for three years. The experience culminated in a graduate certificate from LLU in oral implantology in 1997.
He also has an IV and oral conscious sedation certificate from Miami Valley Medical College in Dayton, Ohio, making him one of the select few restorative dentists in Georgia who are certified and licensed to do IV sedation. Dr. Dunson started his own practice as a cosmetic dentist in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1996.

At cosmetic dentist Bernee Dunson’s state-of-the-art office in Midtown Atlanta, also serving Downtown Atlanta, he offers excellent comprehensive general dentistry with a focus on cosmetic, implant, and sedation dentistry. Using the latest in dental technology and equipment, he maintains extremely high standards of patient comfort and safety at Dunson Dental Design, while delivering consistently exceptional results to his patients.
Dr. Dunson also remains actively interested in the latest developments in his discipline. He continues to publish articles in dental journals and has lectured at the Medical College of Georgia and many professional organizations around the country. In addition, he is an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Crown Council, and the Morehouse Alumni Association.
To continue perfecting his skills as a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Dunson trains with many nationally recognized and world-renowned dental professionals in the areas of restorative and implant dentistry. He has also participated in training programs and externships at the following institutions:

Dr. Dunson is happily married to Hillary Scarbrough Dunson, a graduate of Howard University and Clark Atlanta University (MBA). They live in Atlanta with their daughter Haley and son Drew.
